Choosing a paint color is always challenging with the vast variety of colors out there. Personally, I think choosing the *perfect* shade of white could be even more challenging than other colors, with so many different shades of white. Not all white are the same. There are neutral, warm, and cool undertone. It is also important to understand your surroundings. Do you live in the city, surrounded by high rises? The challenge there, is it could reflect a cooler tone from the sky and other buildings during the day. Are you west or south facing where you get a ton of natural sunlight? The sunlight will provide a warmer tone during the day.
Once you've picked out your favorite white paint, make sure you swatch the sample in different areas of the house. Make sure to see during the day and night. The shade could look different with the different lighting (lamps and overhead light) at night.
Sherwin Williams Pure White- This one is at the top of my list. I've put this in many of my projects. It slightly has a greige (gray + beige) undertone. This gives the room a soft airy look without being too stark white.

Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace- This is one of BM popular white paint. This shade has a neutral undertone. When you put SW Pure White and BM Chantilly Lace next to each other, SW Pure White will look darker. Chantilly Lace is crispy clean white. It's also a very popular shade for baseboards/ trims.

Sherwin Williams Snow Bound- Snowbound is a beautiful crisp soft white. It is warmer compared to Pure White and Chantilly Lace, but not as warm as White Dove. I used this color as an exterior color of a home. The home was north facing, so it gave it the perfect amount of warmth without looking yellow. This is another timeless shade of white from Sherwin Williams.
Benjamin Moore White Dove- If you're looking for a warmer tone white, BM White Dove will be a perfect shade for you. This shade is a soft creamy white. I decided to switch it up on a project and went with White Dove. The living and dining room had a ton windows throughout and it was south facing. Those areas showed up more with a yellow undertone compared to other parts of the house. This is another classic shade for Benjamin Moore.
